Why a Yorkie

A Yorkie's coat is long, fine, and silky, more like human hair than typical dog fur, and it grows continuously with no undercoat. That means minimal shedding and a low-allergen coat, though regular brushing keeps it from matting.
Yorkies were bred to hunt rats in mills and mines, and that terrier grit never left. They are affectionate and devoted to their people, but do not expect a lapdog that stays quiet, this breed has opinions and shares them.
